What is Scopus
Scopus is a tool for information discovery. Essentially, it is a multidisciplinary abstract and citation database.  Scopus indexes papers published in peer-reviewed journals,  presented in conferences, trade publications and book series, and the references included in the papers.

Use citations to identify highly cited articles/authors at journal level,  and in a  subject field. Use citations what context a paper is cited by others.
