What is Nexis Uni?
Nexis Uni is a comprehensive database that provides access to a vast collection of sources, including news articles, legal documents, business information and academic journals. The platform includes content from more than 17000 sources, including newspapers, magazines, wire services, broadcast transcripts, and blogs from around the world.
In addition to current news, Nexis Uni also contains archives dating back several decades. Nexis Uni's business section provides access to company, financial, industry, and country reports. The database's legal section includes federal and state court cases, law reviews, and legal news, making it a valuable resource for legal professionals. (Source)

Basic Search
Basic search allows users to quickly find news, legal cases, and company information by typing queries directly into the homepage search bar. It supports natural language (e.g., asking a question) and Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) to search across all content, with options to filter by date, type, or specific sources after the search. Nexis Uni offers five content categories in its basic search: News, Companies, Legal, People, and Scientific.
 
Advanced Search
Advanced search enables precise research by using customized forms to filter by date, specific content types, and document segments (headline, byline, or legal citation). Accessed under the main search box, this feature supports Boolean operators and proximity connectors allowing for targeted results across news, legal, and business content.(Source)
 
Power Search
Power Search is a customizable search interface designed to locate specific legal cases, company information, and news articles. It allows users to apply pre-search filters, such as date ranges and content types, while using specialized search commands and connectors. Users can target specific parts of a document, such as searching by party name, specific legal citations, or article title. Finding Publications
You can locate publications in Nexis Uni by using the “Find a Source” feature on the homepage to search for specific magazines, newspapers, or journals.
 
Company Information
Nexis Uni has information on both Global and Indian companies. They claim to have details on over 80 million U.S. and international companies, along with over 75 million executives' information in their database. (Source)
 On Nexis Uni, you can find a variety of information about a company, such as SEC filings, financials, M&A, curated analyst reports, executive information, company news, and more.
 
Country & Industry Reports
Market Insight is used to find country and industry reports across various sectors from different countries, including finance, automotive, mining, food and drink, and tourism. 
 
Legal Information
Users can search for legal cases, legislation, regulations, law reviews, and other materials across multiple jurisdictions, including U.S. federal and state courts, as well as courts in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
They can search by keywords, case citations, jurisdiction, and other criteria, and use filters such as date range, document type, and source to refine results.
